My Trip To France: La Terrasse Cent Huit in Paris
La Terrasse Cent Huit in Paris, France
A couple of weeks ago, while enjoying a sunny day in Paris, we had lunch at La Terrasse Cent Huit with my nephews Valentin and Raphael. With its large outdoor terrace, elegant setting, and prime location (the name comes from the street number of its address in the 17th arrondissement), it seemed like the perfect place to take a break from sightseeing and enjoy a leisurely meal. The terrace was buzzing with locals and tourists, creating that quintessential Parisian atmosphere we always enjoy. The menu features a mix of French classics and contemporary dishes, making it easy to find something for everyone, including few vegetarian dishes for Jodi. Here is what we had:
For drinks, I went for the Green Ginger (7 Eur), a refreshing mocktail that felt like a good idea after several days of indulging in great food, with more delicious meals still ahead of us, and we decided to go straight to the entrees as we absolutely wanted dessert. Jodi went for their power bowl (17 Eur) that was made of quinoa, cucumber, avocado, edamame, cherry tomatoes, radicchio, pineapple and pomegranate. Colorful, it was perfectly named with so many healthy ingredients that marry well sweet and savory. On my side, I ordered the beef tenderloin or filet de boeuf (34 Eur) that was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked medium rare. It was served with crispy fries and a silky peppercorn sauce.

For dessert, they brought in their dessert platter that I could have devoured, but, being reasonable, I only went for the baba au rhum, that was just ok unfortunately, the sponge cake being a bit too dense. I still enjoyed it.

Overall, this was a good meal: good food and great company. Was it the best meal in Paris? No, but if you are in the area, it is worth going there and enjoy a nice long lunch, sitting at the terrace.
Enjoy (I did)!
