Java Factory Flavor 52 Launch

Please note that this coffee was sent complimentary, but this post represents 100% of my opinion.

Java Factory Coffee pods Throwback season 1

Java Factory Coffee pods Throwback season 1

I love coffee: black, no milk and no sugar, going mainly for espresso. But, when I was offered to review some of the throwback flavors of Java Factory, I was curious, especially considering that some of these flavors like Sunday Pancakes, Jelly donut or candied pecan represent, for me, a Frenchman, Americana. What I missed originally is that they come in pods, but quickly realized that I could use my espresso machine for a tasting that would end up being quite surprising. But before that, let me explain few things. Java Factory launched Flavor 52, an initiative in cooperation with the Guiness World Records, for the “most unique coffee flavors launched by a coffee brand within a single year”. Yes, every weeks, for 52 weeks, culminating with the 2027 Summer Fancy Food Show, Java Factory will release unique flavors like the ones I tried. This will be done through 6 seasons:

  • Throwback Collection – Season 1

  • Ice Cream Truck – Season 2

  • Sweater Weather – Season 3

  • Wild Ones – Season 4

  • Just Desserts – Season 5

  • The Finale – Season 6

The ones I tried are, in order of release: Sunday Pancakes, Candied Pecan, Jelly Donuts, and Grandma’s Candy. All of these definitely represented perfectly the throwback theme and had a very distinctive smell and flavor, that was not overwhelming, that is what I often dislike with flavored coffee. My favorite was the Sunday Pancakes, Jelly Donuts and Grandma’s Candy. My least favorite was the Candied Pecan, that lacked a bit of flavor for me.

If you are interested to try, you can subscribe directly through the Java Factory website www.javafactory.com for either full-year access or seasonal subscriptions.

Enjoy (I did)!
